Dr. Anthony Dockery

Greetings to you and all those that are important in your life. I pray that you are resting comfortably in the grace and peace of Christ. My name is Anthony L. Dockery, and I am the proud Pastor of St. Stephen Baptist Church. Thank you for giving us some of your priceless time by visiting our website. We pray that it serves as a spiritual enrichment tool wherever you may be on your journey with Christ.

At St. Stephen, who we are, what we do, and how we do it is simple. We strive: To Be God’s Servants, To Be In God’s Service, and To Serve God’s People. These three steps ensure we have a relationship with Christ, the Church, and our Community.

To give you a little history about my story, I was born in Orlando, Florida, and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I met my beautiful wife Yvonnie in a skating rink in 1987 and married her in 1990. I attended the University of Laverne and received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. I also attended Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degree.

I enjoyed a 21 year military career in the United States Air Force and California Air National Guard as a Pilot. I have been blessed to be a member of St. Stephen since January 1990, when I started as the Youth Minister. In 1999, I came on fulltime as Minister of Education and Youth. In 2007, I was elected Executive Pastor, and then elected as Senior Pastor in January 2008. We serve an AWESOME God!

Now that you have been introduced to St. Stephen and me, we look forward to formally meeting you. Please come join us for a worship service, bible study, musical, or sporting event on our campus. We know God has blessed you with some unique gifts and talents, so our prayer is that you couple your gifts with these at St. Stephen for God’s ultimate glory.
